Ford, an artist with a lifelong passion for drawing and painting, has always been captivated by the organic beauty of nature. “I do not remember a time when I did not draw or color something. Usually, it was a horse or a dog,” Ford recalls. “My first memories are of drawing and loving animals. When something catches my eye, I try to capture some of its beauty in my art.”
Her collection at Revalation Vineyards showcases her deep appreciation for the natural world, including portraits of intriguing faces, florals, animals, and landscapes. Whether it’s the unique structure of a tree or the unexpected beauty found inside a green pepper, Ford’s work invites viewers to see the world through her eyes. “I hope that those who view my art can share my appreciation of the natural world as a gift,” she says.
A Virginia native, Ford spent over two decades near Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains, yet she finds a unique sense of home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. “The Blue Ridge holds both the beauty and serenity I never quite found in the Rockies,” she shares. “Virginia and its mountains have always been home to me.”
