Nicole Horn was born in Northern Minnesota and walks through those woods with her mom sparked a love of nature and its infinite beautiful details. She drew her first portrait at age 3 and won her first art award at age 7. Her family moved to Colorado while she was in high school and her love of drawing and design continued into college where she earned a BFA at Colorado State University. After college Nicole became an art director for American Handgunner in San Diego California. She is a now a full-time painter currently located in Fredericksburg, Virginia and has a studio and gallery of works available at LibertyTown Arts Workshop. She is a member of The Portrait Society of America where she has been a three-time finalist in their member only competitions. Her work is part of many private and public collections throughout the US and one of the highlights of her career has been working with the Marine Corps creating a series of paintings for the cover of Leatherneck magazine including the issue celebrating Leatherneck’s 100th anniversary.
