In 2022, Rebecca Brock won the Women’s Poetry Contest at Kelsay Books judged by Katie Manning, The Comstock Review’s Muriel Craft Bailey Memorial Poetry Contest, judged by Ellen Bass, and the Editor’s Choice Award at Sheila-Na-Gig. Her first chapbook, Each Bearing Out, was a semifinalist in the New Women’s Voices contest at Finishing Line Press and is now available from Kelsay Books. She holds an MFA from The Bennington Writing Seminars and received a Virginia Commission for the Arts Fellowship in 2006. A MacDowell Fellow, her work has been published in The Threepenny Review, CALYX, Mom Egg Review, Rust + Moth, Sweet Lit, THRUSH, Sky Island Journal, SWWIM, West Trestle, Whale Road Review & elsewhere. Her poetry has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prizes.
