BOOK WORLD MEETS WINE WORLD

A benefit for the Literacy Council of Madison County. Ten percent of our proceeds for this event will be donated to the organization.
Kelly Weinersmith will present her book A City on Mars, co-written with her husband Zach Weinersmith. It explores the challenges and ethical considerations of establishing human settlements in space. Drawing on extensive research and their shared passion for science fiction, the Weinersmiths delve into what it will take to prepare humanity for life on the Red Planet. With wit and insight, the book reveals how much more we need to understand before we can safely and ethically settle space—from the effects of Mars’ unique radiation to the practical realities of building habitats underground to protect against these risks.
